Indian Stories

Maybole and District Young Arts are holding their annual Young Arts Festival in Maybole Town Hall on Sunday 27th September, between 1100 and 1630h.

This is a free public event for young people aged 6 – 18 and their families. This year there will be an Indian theme and the central workshops will be led by an Indian Dance company, Ihayami. In addition there will be a great range of activity tables available in the main hall, including henna tattoos, Indian style jewellery, Dreamcatchers, Jumping Clay, storytelling, and a Competition to decorate card Elephants, with fantastic prizes including cinema vouchers.

Live music will take place throughout the day, ranging from a classical quartet, “Quattro”, to Hazel McDowall, Music student, to a young rock band, Rubicon. To complete the picture, we have ‘probably the best pop-up cafe in Ayrshire’.

All children and families are welcome to attend.
